God promised Abraham and his wife, an old, childless couple, descendants as numerous as the stars is the sky. This story is firmly rooted in the story of Abraham in Genesis, and the covenant God made with him. This first blog of this series will cover the first three of these elements. ![]() It is, overall, the story of God’s people finding freedom and some key elements of the story mirror the journey that people can face when looking to find freedom from addiction. ![]() It is a story of both God’s miraculous power, victorious liberation, and promise fulfillment, and also of battle, fear and idolatry. Looking at the story of the Bible, when it comes to “freedom”, one of the most distinct things that come to mind is the journey of the people of Israel, fleeing from slavery in Egypt. ![]()
